Onion chutney



How To Make This Recipe


Ingredients:

  • Chopped onions(1 cup )
  • Red chili (3 - 4 pieces)
  • Tamarind(1 tsp)
  • Hing (pinch)
  • Chopped Tomato (1 piece)
  • Chana dal (3/4 tsp)
  • Urad dal (3/4 tsp)
  • Curry leaves (1 sprig)
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard seeds (1/4 tsp)
  • Cashew nuts (7- 8 pieces)
  • Jaggery /sugar (1 tsp)

Preparation for onion chutney recipe:

  1. Heat oil in a pan then add red chili, chana dal, urad daltamarind, chopped onion, hing and then fry them until onion become golden brown 
  2. Then add salt to taste, chopped tomato, cashew nuts
  3. Cook for some time and then add jaggery or sugar
  4. Switch off the flame and let it be cool down and then make a paste in food processor by adding of small amount of water
  5. Transfer this paste to a serving bowl
  6. Heat oil in a separate pan and then add mustard seeds, red chilies, curry leaves then fry it till the curry leaves become crispy
  7. pour this on the surface of the paste and the chutney is ready.
